Who We Are

Comb Culture was founded in 2013. As a freelance Stylist Ange loved the flexibility of working on her own but yearned to be back training, growing a team, and having a direction.

Her determination to build this dream led to the opening of our beautiful Fannie Bay Salon in 2020.

Ange, a Darwin Girl, born and raised gives the salon its down to earth vibe, her unique flair in styling and eclectic taste gives testimony to her keen eye for balance and beauty.

She has worked in the hair and beauty industry for over 17 years, previously managing a busy high-end salon and also as a Trainer at TAFE. Her passion lies with training and building up our next generation of stylists.
She is very passionate about providing a service to all her clients where we connect, and give the best outcome for their hair in line with their desires and needs.

Low-Tox Colour Journey

Why we chose Original Mineral (O&M) CØR.colour and Hair Care.
Suffering long term dermatitis and progressively becoming more and more sensitive, Ange set out down the rabbit hole looking into the toxic exposure we as hairdressers endure 8 hours a day, 5 days a week.

Her passion was to find a healthier option, which was Australian owned and made; and that could actually deliver beautiful results.

With trial and error of many brands claiming to be ‘natural’ or ‘organic’, she finally found Original Mineral.

O&M was the most transparent. Their mission is to continuously improve their chemical load to the environment and our exposure. Their colour line - CØR.colour is Ammonia, PPD and Resorcinol-free… it is safe for marine life, humans and our planet.

It delivers unbelievable grey coverage, depth & reflect in colours.

Our Products

The O&M retail range is bursting with Australia’s native flora and with Active natural extracts and is free from harsh chemicals.

We are absolutely in love with and stand behind this brand as it completely aligns with our vision and ethos of our salon.

Our mission is to become the change we need to see in the world, our health, our wildlife and our planet are depending on the small sacrifices and positive choices we make today and everyday to change our’s and our children’s futures.
